Photograph the part and its surroundings
Send several views of the original piece, including damaged areas, mounting points, and the assembly it fits into. A ruler in a photo can provide context, but written measurements are still needed for features that must fit accurately.
Tell us why the original failed
Describe the original function and how the damage happened. Include the forces, movement, heat, moisture, or chemicals the replacement may encounter. A copied outline is only one part of a useful replacement; the application determines whether a printed approach makes sense.
Confirm compatibility through review and testing
We can review a brief for items such as covers, knobs, spacers, and organizers. Each request is assessed individually. A replacement is not automatically equivalent to the original component, and approval of a visual model does not confirm performance in use.
Know when another route is needed
Flag any safety-related function, required certification, or critical load before design starts. Some requests may be unsuitable for our process. Send references you are entitled to share, and explain any compatibility requirements or restrictions.
